Review and Synopsis of the Film Zombieland: Double Tap

Synopsis Film Zombieland – In 2009, Zombieland first appeared on the big screen and received a positive impression from the audience and critics. This good response obtained because this film combines the essence of horror, gore, comedy in one unit that is fresh and not stiff. What’s more interesting is that Zombieland shines even more because it stars top Hollywood actors.

After ten years, Zombieland: Double Tap appears as a sequel while maintaining the previous characters from Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita, and Little Rock. Unlike the satirical and political zombie films of the late George A. Romero, this second sequel still presents jokes and social satire wrapped in the premise of a world disaster caused by a zombie outbreak.

A decade is a very long time for a film to spawn a sequel. Due to this time gap, Zombieland: Double Tap has minor elements such as the plot tends to be monotonous and there is no significant character development. Even so, this film was a financial success, earning 122 million dollars worldwide.

The Zombie T-800 Is a Real Threat

While the quartet of Columbus, Little Rock, Wichita and Tallahassee lacked character development, this film introduced the T-800 zombie as an evolution of a more vicious, powerful and wild man-eating creature. This name given by Columbus who refers to the Terminator character played by actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The T-800 zombie is a very appropriate horror character to appear in this film to color the less exciting storyline. Just imagine, if director Ruben Fleischer and his scriptwriter didn’t give a new touch to this second sequel, maybe Zombieland: Double Tap would end up very boring.

These creatures become a frightening and annoying specter throughout the film because they cannot killed easily. The audience must be prepared to accept the brutality of Tallahassee and Columbus when the two of them kill the T-800 zombie by cracking its head, and blood splatters everywhere. That one of the gore elements that is tried to be displayed in this film.
