The Bob’s Burgers Movie. For burger Bob Fans, the wait for this film is quite long. The film was originally announced in 2017 with Release plans for 2020, but the merger between Disney and Fox left the company’s final films in a strange state of limbo. There will be little to no updates for the next few years, but at Comic-Con this summer, creator Loren Bouchard promised the Belcher family would still be coming to theaters.
Even though we’re like that until without a trailer, at least we did it now knowing what the film will be about. On 20th Century Studios’ website The page to the film promises a “music-comedy-mystery adventure” for Bob (H. John Benjamin), Linda (John Roberts) and their crazy kids Tina (Dan Mintz), Louise (Kristen Schaal) and Gene (Eugene Mirman). The synopsis is as follows:

Synopsis the Bob’s Burger
The story begins when a cut drain creates a huge sinkhole right in front of Bob’s Burgers, blocking the infinity entrance, and ruining the Belchers’ plans for a successful summer. As Bob and Linda struggle to keep the business afloat, the kids try to solve a mystery that could save their family restaurant. As the danger mounts, these outsiders help each other find hope and struggle to get behind the desk they are at.
That sounds like a pretty good story for the Belchers, one that will hopefully deserve a full-length theatrical release. The Belchers are no strangers to quirky adventures, and from the description it sounds like some of the show’s best episodes. The most interesting thing about this film is of course the music; The show has a history of some pretty good jams, from catchy ditty to more extravagant numbers, and it’ll be interesting to see what Bouchard and 20th Century Animation do with the bigger budgets.
