Princess Diaries 2 Movie – Different from the first film, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement is a sequel written by Shonda Rhimes and Gina Wendkos. Still starring Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews, the sequel is still being worked on by Garry Marshall.

Synopsis Princess Diaries 2 Movie
Five years have passed, now Princess Mia (Anne Hathaway) has finished her education and returned to Genovia. Together with Queen Clarisse (Julie Andrews), Princess Mia learns how to be a good head of state. Until her 21st birthday party, Princess Mia accidentally meets a handsome young man named Nicholas (Chris Pine).
This brief meeting made the two of them interested in each other, unfortunately that night Princess Mia’s crown fell. Member of Parliament (MP) Viscount Mabrey (John Rhys-Davies) who captured the crown tried to steal it but failed. In a Parliamentary meeting the following day, MP Mabrey revealed that there was a suitable next male heir to succeed the Queen.
The reason is that according to Genovian law, Princess Mia can only become Queen when she is married. What surprised Mia was that the man who would replace her position was Lord Devereaux.
