Synopsis of Open Range

About 4 people working as wild breeders or Free Range. They moved from town to town to herd the cows they had. Until one day one of the 4 people stopped at a small town to buy necessities. But the Sheriff and Marshal there were very unfriendly towards Free Range and they injured one of the 4 people earlier, because they didn’t accept it, the battle began.

“Only Upholding Justice”
The film opens with 4 cowherds who are faced with a rainstorm that never stops. They have to stay and spend the night until their needs run out. So, in this section, we are really presented with a beautiful view and the closeness of the 4 of them. Even though one of them is their boss, their boss considers them like their own children.

In general, this film tells the story of Free Range. I just learned about the term Free Range because of this film. So Free Range is the name for wild breeders. However, what I don’t understand and the question is, why does this city hate Free Range so much, so there is a kind of discrimination. I really don’t know what the stigma is about Free Range here. Even though they raise livestock in the wild, not in the middle of the city, they don’t even pass through the city.

So throughout the film we are only presented with a cold war between 4 illegal ranchers and the local Sheriff. So at the end of the new duration, we are presented with a quite interesting shootout. The action was really released in that part and was quite entertaining, when the cold war was presented for too long. I really like gunfights and the way these 4 people win the hearts of city people.
