Because in the past an FBI agent almost caught her, since then Adaline realized that she must continue to live on the run. Even now that his daughter is much older than him, Flemming (Ellen Burstyn) now lives in a nursing home.

Interesting Premise, Less Maximum Execution

Synopsis and Review The Age of Adaline

Actually, I was looking for something that made The Age of Adaline (2015) feel lacking. It turns out that this comes from the plot which lacks life, as a result the story lifted as if it were a passing wind. In fact, if you take a look at the premise that raised, it is very good, and the threads of the whole story are also fitting.

For me the blame lies with the writers J. Mills Goodloe and Salvador Paskowitz. For me, both of them are less able to show the specialty of Adaline Bowman’s character.

Even though they could have made this woman’s lifestyle as if a secret agent in disguise. Then provide tense conflicts, apart from dealing with the FBI, of course.

There is no such thing as a surprise, as a result the story becomes very, very monotonous and mediocre. I hope that there will be bigger conflicts, so that Adaline’s character can develop again.

Actually there is no problem with the beginning of the story, for me the beginning of the story is very good. Unfortunately, going into the middle of the plot too relaxed and cliche with a love story at first sight.

I think it would have been more exciting if Adaline had struggled with her own emotions and feelings, when she chose to be with Ellis. It’s a shame this wasn’t even considered at all, at least Blake Lively and Harrison Ford’s meeting at the end makes for quite a promising ending. Although the ending that given is also very, very ordinary and ordinary.

Quite Enjoyable Fantasy Melodrama Story

Synopsis and Review The Age of Adaline

It can’t be denied, I quite enjoyed watching The Age of Adaline (2015) even though the story wasn’t that great.

However, I really appreciate the premise raised in this film, because in that year it was very rare for someone to take this premise. the only drawback is just the selection of the storyline which is less interesting.

Even so, I quite like how Adaline’s life story becomes a sad melodrama. The reason is that there is a love triangle story between Adaline, Ellis, and William, who turn out to be father and son.

For me as a whole, Adaline’s past story with William Jones is the best story in the book.

Starting from the romantic side of the drama, the plot twist is very well organized when they are reunited in a different era. From here, the melodrama begins when Jennifer tries to deny that she is Adaline. I think this part could have been made more dramatic, so the ending would be even more satisfying.

But that’s the strange thing, even though, in general, the story that this film carries is a total failure. At least I can enjoy the beautiful images captured by David Lazenberg.

As well as the beauty of Blake Lively, which is second to none, and the acting of the other actors involved. Even Michiel Huisman is quite attractive to me; his acting looks very gentle and promising.

Blake Lively and Harrison Ford’s Thrilling Chemistry

Synopsis and Review The Age of Adaline

Since seeing the trailer, to be honest, I have been pessimistic about Blake Lively playing Adaline’s character. This is because the character Serena Van Der Woodsen, whom she played in the Gossip Girl series (2007–2012), very attached to her. Even physically, there is nothing that differentiates Serena from Adaline Bowman.

But I underestimated it too much because he managed to show a different character with almost the same look. Adaline Bowman is really a very different type of woman from Serena Van Der Woodsen. This woman is just trying to live her life as best she can while reminiscing about the past.

Even if his dream is only one, he wants to enjoy his life like most people. But the advantages it has make Adaline have to live on the run all her life. Blake Lively was able to convey Adaline’s grace and tenacity, even in what I thought was Serena. Especially his chemistry with Harrison Ford.

From the moment their eyes met, I could immediately feel high emotional tension. How were these two people surprised to reunited with figures from their past?

The moments when Harrison Ford interrogated Blake Lively became the most tense. Even I myself feel that this is the best moment in The Age of Adaline (2015).

This is a review of the American fantasy romantic film The Age of Adaline (2015). Now, I feel it’s only natural that iMDb and Rotten Tomatoes give an average rating. The reason is that this film saved thanks to the extraordinary appearances of Blake Lively and the other cast members. What do you think?
