Synopsis Crows Zero (2007)
Takiya Genji (Shun Oguri) is a third grader who has just transferred to the Suzuran All-boys School. His entry time coincided with the first graders’ orientation period. During freshman orientation, yakuza come to the school seeking revenge on third grader Tamao Serizawa (Takayuki Yamada) for assaulting several members of their gang. The thugs mistake Genji for their target and a riot ensues in the school field.
That night, Genji goes to a nightclub he frequents and meets R&B singer Aizawa Ruka (Meisa Kuroki). He then goes to meet his father, yakuza boss Takiya Hideo (Goro Kishitani) to proclaim his ambition to rule Suzuran.
The next day, Genji challenges Serizawa to a fight, but is stopped by Tokio. He tells Genji that if he really wants to make an impression he has to start by defeating Rindaman, a legendary fighter at the school.
After Rindaman refuses his challenge, Genji meets Ken Katagiri, one of the yakuza who visited the school the previous day. Following Ken’s advice, Genji begins building his army called “Genji Perfect Seiha” (a.k.a “GPS”). Genji decides the time is right for war against Serizawa. They decide to go into battle at five o’clock the next day, the same time Tokio will carry out his operation.
The next day, as the fight begins, it appears Serizawa’s gang will win, but after Bando’s faction arrives and joins GPS, things turn around. The fight continues until only Serizawa and Genji left standing.
Several days later, Genji challenges Rindaman again, the last obstacle to his move to rule Suzuran. Rindamamn expresses his belief that Suzuran can never completely overpowered and that there will always be others left to fight. The film ends with a fight between Genji and Rindaman starting.
