Synopsis of Extraction Film – This Netflix original action-thriller genre film a film produced in the United States that takes story locations in India and Bangladesh. So do not surprised if this film uses three languages, namely English, Hindi and Bengali. The film script was written by Joe Russo who often involved in Marvel Cinematic Universe projects and an adaptation of Ande Parks’ illustrated novel Ciudad.
Synopsis of Extraction Film
In the opening sequence, Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) is shown shooting with a group of soldiers on a bridge filled with burning cars.
Then the story moves to the story before the incident, where Ovi Mahajan (Rudhraksh Jaiswal), a student who the son of the head of an international gangster who currently imprisoned, kidnapped by rival gangsters from Mumbai, India and takes him to Dhaka, Bangladesh. Tyler Rake, one of the mercenaries hired to carry out a rescue mission which may be a very dangerous mission throughout his career.

All plans do not go smoothly
At the beginning of the operation, all plans not going smoothly, because it turns out that Ovi’s father orders his men, namely Saju Rav (Randeep Hooda), to sabotage the operation from their hands after previously Ovi had successfully taken away from Amir Asif’s headquarters (Priyanshu Painyuli).
There a fierce battle between Tyler and Saju which displayed with a long and hard duration, until they both received serious injuries which they treated in their own way. Marked by the betrayal of Ovi’s father and co-workers, Tyler and Ovi must soon find their own way. In the end, they teamed up with Saju, whose family threatened by his boss if he couldn’t bring Ovi home.
Rescue plans bogged down at state borders
Their rescue plan hampered at the state border in the form of a bridge that packed with people and vehicles that were about to cross, coupled with blockades and checks from soldiers under the orders of Amir Asif.
The shootout was unavoidable between them. But Tyler is not alone. His team came to help to save him. Their hard struggle not in vain, and Ovi saved with the sacrifice of Saju who shot by a sniper from a long distance. Tyler also seriously injured and did not make it to the helicopter to leave there, instead he fell into the river.
At the end of the film, Ovi, who is carrying out her normal activities, looks sad because she lost Tyler and Saju, people who were instrumental in saving her life from the hands of gangsters from Bangladesh. As he emerged from the pool, the distant figure of Tyler could seen at the side of the pool.
Worth to Watch?
This Netflix original film is one of the most watched films and had become the top streamed in its first week of broadcast. The majority of the audience not disappointed after watching it, as well as film critics who also praised this action film which filmed in Mumbai and Dhaka.
The hard work of the stuntman and cameraman is what must often praised for the success of this film. We made as if we really in their action adventure. There is one moment with quite a long duration, we really carried away by the uninterrupted work of a single-shot camera.
