It is a Bong Joon Ho film that follows the low-income Kim family as they attempt to change South Korea’s social strata by entering the Parks, an affluent family that keeps a close eye on everyone else.

Returning to legitimate social satires, Ruben Stlund’s Triangle of Sadness won the Palm d’Or award the previous year. It follows a group of wealthy, young people who are vacationing together on a boat. They will watch over the employees’ shoulders and attempt to withstand various obstacles that presented to them in the middle of the ocean. As it harshly condemns the wealthy’s lifestyle and general ignorance of what is happening around them, it is arguably one of the movies from 2022 that is most similar to The Menu.
