The film is under development by Sony Pictures, with Justin Baldoni becoming director and executive producer under his Wayfarer Studios.
Lively is also the executive producer with Hoover, Steve Sarowitz and Andrew Calof. Alex Saks will produce for Saks Picture Company, along with Jamey Heath who will produce on behalf of Wayfarer Studios. The script was written by Christy Hall (“I Am Not Okay With This”) and was also produced.
It Ends With Us tells story of a small town girl, Lily, who moves to Boston to start her business. The story of a love affair is intertwined between him and neurosurgeon Ryle. But the doctor is reluctant to have a relationship, the book describes. However, her first shadow of love suddenly pops up and becomes a barrier to Lily and Ryle’s relationship.

While Blake Lively is known for his work in the TV series “Gossip Girl” and films such as “A Simple Favor” and “The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants”, and made his directing debut last year with Taylor Swift’s music video “I Bet You Think About Me”. He is currently preparing to make his debut as director of the feature film “Seconds,” an adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s graphic novel, written and produced by Edgar Wright with Marc Platt.

He also expressed his gratitude by saying, “The little girl who used to sleep in the bedroom thanked for all of her support.”
Apart from Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. No further casting decisions have been announced for the film, including parts of Atlas and Allysa — two other key characters in the book.
