The film stars Angelina Jolie who plays Amelia Donaghy. He collided acting with Denzel Washington who plays Lincoln Rhyme, a forensic expert. Rhyme is tracking a serial killer in New York. However, Rhyme gets into a work accident while investigating a case in a basement. Her spine was crushed and doctors sentenced Rhyme to lifelong disability.
Initially Rhyme wanted to retire early. But his love for forensics makes Rhyme reject his leader’s decision, especially since he is currently investigating a complex case. One day he finds out that there is a cop named Amalia Donaghy who has good instincts, logic and analysis.
Rhyme offers to work with Donaghy to solve the serial murder case. Donaghy accepted Rhyme’s offer and they started working together. Rhyme monitors Donaghy through the hospital. Meanwhile, Donaghy investigates cases in the field.
From the various cases of previous murders, there is one thing in common, namely the victim’s bones are missing. There are allegations that the bone was taken by the perpetrator who was later nicknamed “The Bone Collector”. Apart from the bones taken, there was some kind of clue paper on each victim, for example on a husband and wife who were killed separately or a student who died miserably.
Actually they could have saved the victims. However, because Rhyme and Donaghy were too late to decode the perpetrator’s code, the victim died first. Rhyme and Donaghy find similarities in the case they are examining with a story in a novel. If you follow the storyline of the novel, the next target is the grandfather and his grandson.
The Bone Collector gets a Tomatometer of 28 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and 63 percent of the viewership. The Bone Collector’s rating on IMDb is 6.7 out of 10.

The audience said that the story idea for The Bone Collector movie was really crazy. Because the story shows that there is a detective who is solving cases without even touching the scene of the incident. Because the detective uses other people as eyes and hands to work at the crime scene.
In terms of story, The Bone Collector is perfect even though the execution for the film is somewhat ruined. Apparently the duet between Angelina Jolie and Denzel Washington was not enough to make the audience’s assessment of the film great.
In contrast to the assessment of the film version, the novel that became the story idea actually received very good reviews. The rating for the original version of the novel is on a scale of 4 out of 5 with the number of reviews reaching 900 and of course increasing.
What’s extraordinary about the story is how Rhyme as a detective compiles one clue after another to find the culprit.
