Review The 40-Year-Old Virgin – The 40-Year-Old Virgin is an American comedy film released in 2005. This film tells of a man named Andy Stitzer (Steve Carell) who is 40 years old and still a virgin. Andy is a toy collector and works at an electronics store. After working there for several years, he began to form relationships with some of his coworkers in order to feel the loss of his virginity.

Andy is a 40 year old man who works in an electronics store. He is an avid collector of toys and comics. At the age of 4, he has never had sex at all, aka he is still a virgin. Because of that, when they learned about this fact, his friends tried to help him find a partner and could lose his virginity. However, their efforts often end in failure.

Until finally, Andy met Trish, a jewelry store owner who had just divorced and had three children. Although initially hesitant, Andy begins to feel the seeds of love for Trish and tries to get her attention. However, their relationship was not always smooth. Andy tries to cover up the fact that he is a virgin from Trish, while Trish is also dishonest about the ages of her children. When the two finally reveal the truth, their relationship becomes stronger and more trusting.

As a comedy film, the actors in this film managed to give extraordinary performances. The characters are very lively and make laugh out loud. Steve Carell, who plays Andy, managed to show his funny comedy and sincerity that made the audience fall in love with his character. While Catherine Keener, who plays Trish, provides an important romantic nuance in this film.

In fact, at the start of filming, Judd Apatow planned to make a more serious and dramatic version of the film about a man who is a virgin at the age of 40. However, after meeting Steve Carell and seeing his comedic talent, Apatow decided to make more comedic films.

Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen, and Romany Malco also added spices that strengthen the comedic aspect of this film. From start to finish, this film presents humor that is fresh and hilarious. Guaranteed to be able to entertain you who are bored.
